- What should be the position of the TV in the room?
First of all, make sure that the layout of the room and the position of the TV are such that it does not look towards a window or balcony door to avoid blurring and therefore the difficulty of seeing the image clearly. It would be ideal to try out many alternative locations until you find the right one, in which neither the natural light nor the light from the luminaires directly reflects on the TV screen.
We have to mention that it is very important that the position of the TV to be placed at least 5 times its length from the point where you sit.
- What lighting should I have in the room when I watch TV?
Many of us like watching TV in the dark, while others with bright light in the room. In both extremes of circumstances, the only thing that will happen is the burden on our eyes and consequences that even result in headaches.
Specifically, when the room is very dark, the contrast is very intense. The darkness causes the pupil to expand, leaving it exposed to the intense rays of light. In the second case, when there is a lot of light, the image appears very faded and it becomes difficult for the viewer to see clearly.
The ideal solution for adjusting lighting is in between (no absolute darkness or bright light).
Ambient lighting is appropriate for such situations. You can ideally use floor lamps or ceiling lights that direct the light up or towards the walls, or even table-ambient lamps.
Another solution for optimal results is the use of the "Ideal Lume LCD backlight" gadget.
These are "strips" of fluorescent lamps or LEDs, which can be attached to the wall behind the TV. This system minimizes the blur created by the screen and emits as much light as is required to be restful on our eyes when watching TV. They also help to improve the color rendering of the screen.
